
Wellness and Wildflowers
There are some things in life that I’m certain about… and one of the things is… we all have bad days! Days where you feel like the world is on your shoulders and its so heavy you just can’t take it. Days that make you feel that you are worthless, you aren’t achieving anything and you are just jelly… I know, I have these days a lot. Maybe it’s my bipolar disorder that makes me feel this way or something else I have going on but it’s a weekly and sometimes daily battle. But, I know that my mind plays tricks on me and I’m not any of those things that it likes to lie to me about, my mind likes to tell me lies….it’s a liar. Is your mind a liar also, maybe so!
But, I combat it with a few things I have learned that helps me.
Working out, taking a shower and taking a nap
Thing 1… You feel like beating someone up, screaming or just hitting something? Workout! Get that frustration out and feel better about yourself and your anger or rage and not by catching a case. It’s a win, win. (also working out doesn’t have to be in the gym, you could take a walk, work in the yard, or something else physical)
Thing 2… You feel icky about yourself, gross, not pretty… (once again lies, you are beautiful)…. take a bath or shower, wash your hair and face, use something that smells good and leaves you feeling like you have a new skin and a pretty face. Because you are pretty and now clean.
Thing 3… You feel stuck. Stuck with all the choices we have to make everyday, big ones, sometimes small, just anything really. Take a nap… (unless you gotta cook dinner, which I do everyday because guess what moms cook and cook and cook, do we do anything else?) Maybe, taking a nap, and waking up with a fresh mind will help you with that choice and gives you time to think about it and lets you make the choice that feels right for you!
I know this isn’t some big grand realization or cure all but it helps me mange some of the disorders, glitches and crappy feelings, that my mind gets me into, a lot. I hope it helps you in some way find a healthy and sane way to mange a few things.
